![]() ![]() 4 out of 64 is more of a showing than Dredge has had in a while, but it's a far cry from broken or what Hogaak was doing in Modern where it was the most played deck and Leyline of the Void was the most-played card and it was still making up half of all top 8's. I don't think it's a hugely problematic card though. And it's made some appearances in BG Dark Depths lists as well, though none of those showed up in the top 64. It showed up in the top 8 of GP Atlanta in a Dredge list, and there was two more in the top 16 and another in the top 64. Sounds durdly but I've definitely won a surprising amount of games this way. It's definitely a competitive card. One thing my friend recommended is goldfish a bunch of games against a grafdiggers/containment priest to get used to casting Golgari thugs/narcomoebas and sacing them for a huge zombie army. Also many players I've noticed have kept a terrible hand but it has a single Grafdigger's cage in it. One tip I would recommend is observe how many cards they are boarding in, it really changes how much you need to sb in. Also not sure if you're running them but Ive found chain of vapor to be an absolute all star. ![]() I also sideboard out Leyline quite often if i think they cant interact with out bridges or the graveyard hard doesn't affect them. ![]() Quite often I'll sideboard out Unmask because I won't be worried about their hand if they turn 0 Leyline. I almost always sideboard in Nature's claim because it will hit everything hate piece but priest. Grafdiggers/Containment priest effects are a lot less scary than Leyline (shudders). The hardest thing I've found with dredge side boarding is knowing what they are side boarding in. I am by no means an expert on the deck but I've been playing it solidly for about a year now. ![]()
